The varsity hockey team traveled to Choate on Sunday afternoon, earning a hard-fought 2-1 victory in their second game of the day. This weekend the varsity basketball team traveled down to NYC for the annual Boys Club of New York tournament. Facing rival Eaglebrook in their opening match, the Cougars started out cold, finding it difficult to finish and watched their opponent open up a quick 20 point lead. In a Friday matinee game, the Cougars hosted a pee-wee team from Halifax Canada. While the game was played with no checking, the boys were able to work on their skills, and Cardigan quickly realized how talented this young team was as the game was tied 2-2 after two periods.

The Thirds hockey team beat the Boston Stars 10-2. Many players scored in this one-sided victory. Justin Lee played in goal for Cardigan. The varsity hockey team returned to action on Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Massachusetts to take on Eaglebrook. The two and a half week layoff was apparent early as the Eagles applied consistent pressure while Cardigan worked to rediscover their legs.
