Cardigan Hosts Lakes Region JV Tennis Championships
On Saturday Cardigan hosted ten schools for the LAKES REGION JV TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS. We got the first round in at the Ramos Courts and then made a seamless transition to the indoor Wakely courts. The consolation round was deleted and we went to six game sets rather than eight to get the matches moving quickly on the four courts. Cougars Battle With Holderness Varsity, Come up Short 6-5
The Cougars played a tough opponent on the road Saturday and came up one run short in a 6-5 game at Holderness. The top of the first was the best inning for the boys, with TJ Zagarri and Mattie Grabmann earning walks, and Christian Moore knocking them in with a 2-run triple.
