Cougars Drop Tight Match to Bobcats
On a rainy day, the Cougars hosted the Bobcats from Brewster Academy. The match began with doubles, all three matches were closely played. The tandem of Shawn Kim and Sean Donoghue won 8-5. The number two pair (Jason Li and Joseph Min) and number three pair (Gray Madan and Pete Dwyer) lost their matches in tie-breaks.

Cougars Escape Close Game Against Belmont Hill
Cardigan won a tight game 10-9 with the defense stopping Belmont Hill’s offense late in the game. In the first quarter the Cougars were up 5-1. With a minute left, the game was tied 9-9. Tyler Conklin had a behind-the-back goal off a fast break to give the Cougars a 9-8 lead with 50 seconds left in the game.

The 3D Lacrosse Prep Star Showcase went great for Cardigan and all other teams. The Cougars had a total of four games and ended with a record of 3-1, they also won the first ever Prep Star Tournament.

The Cardigan Cougars, Thirds tennis team, hosted the boys from Eaglebrook for yet another fun and exciting matchup. Both teams displayed a tremendous amount of respect for one another and enjoyed their friendly rivalry. Despite the fact that spring is in the air, they played lakeside in chilly temperatures on our picturesque Ramos courts.

The varsity baseball team traveled to face an undefeated Eaglebrook team on Saturday, and came away with a 6-0 win. The real story of the day was the pitching performance of Christian Moore, who threw a no hitter with 17 strikeouts.

Cougars Fall Short to Wildcats 4-3
The Cardigan JV lacrosse team took on KUA's JV on Saturday and had a strong start. Rocco Pace scored the game’s first two goals in the first quarter. The Cougars surrendered their lead and fell down 3-2. Pace recorded a Hat trick with a fourth quarter goal, but the Cougars fell 4-3.

The Brewster Bobcats came out of the gates strong with a quick two-goal lead. Cardigan took a timeout to talk about what had just happened and how they could fix it. The Cougars then came out with five unanswered goals.

The JV lacrosse team took on Proctor's JV team today. Although they were clearly a formidable foe, the Cougars didn't back down and fought hard. They ultimately fell by a score of 9-2 however what the Cougars lacked in size, they made up for in scrappiness and hustle.
