What an intense baseball game to conclude Cardigan's baseball season. After a difficult beginning where the weather did not cooperate at all, the boys seemed to have found their way to play and caught on fire in the last couple of weeks. The Cougars wrapped up the season with a win over their rivals from Eaglebrook today by a score of 5-1. Although the bats weren't on fire, the team did put the ball in play and started the scoring when Ryan Sweeney knocked in Tripp Hindle in the second inning. What They Didn’t Get in Wins They Earned in Sportsmanship and Fun!
The Reserve Tennis players all got it in a match against Eaglebrook in the final weekend of the year. The Cougars were going to be challenged as Eeglebrook does not have a reserve team, thus, reverse had to play Eaglebrook’s Thirds team. Unfortunately, the boys were unable to win a match, but they showed great sportsmanship, played really well, and most importantly, they had fun.
