Thirds’ Bats Wake Up, Take Eaglebrook Day
On Saturday, Cardigan celebrated their annual Spring Eaglebrook Day, with the Thirds team traveling down to Eaglebrook School to take on the Eaglebrook Juniors. The game saw some good pitching and timely hitting on both sides. Additionally, the defense struggled on both sides, with the teams combining for 13 errors. It was a beautiful day for baseball, as the Thirds Baseball team took to “Little Wrigley Field”, on the Back 40, to take on the Claremont Yankees. James Kwon went five innings on the mound, striking out 11 for his first win of the year. Sebastien Madan pitched a scoreless sixth for his first Cardigan save.

Cougars Fall in Thirds-Field Opener: Defense Improves
Back 40 (CMS) – The Thirds team saw their first action on the Back 40 field—where they last beat Eaglebrook in the final game of the 2017 season. Today, they faced a very tough Woodstock team, both in baserunning and on defense. The Wasps robbed a number of hits from the home team.

Thirds Baseball falls to Claremont Youth, Running Game
The thirds team took to a modified JV Baseball field (shorter bases and mound) to face off against a tough Claremont Little League team. Claremont capitalized on aggressive baserunning and a few Cardigan miscues to score early and often. On the Cardigan side, the Cougars did their best to keep pace, with four runs in the second and three runs in the third.

Despite Loss, Cougars Had a Blast on a Beautiful Day
s the lemon-yellow sun brightly shined in the early afternoon sky, the Thirds baseball team took to the field for their home opener against Claremont Middle School. The insects were buzzing, the grass was green, and the balls were flying Saturday afternoon. While this was only the second game for the boys, they did a lot of great things.
