Thirds Hockey Loses to VT Dynamo
The Vermont Dynamo beat Cardigan’s Thirds hockey team 4-1 Saturday afternoon, in Turner Arena. Cayden Van Dolah ‘21 and Henry Sterrett ‘19 played well on defense, while Reid Gueldenzoph ‘22 scored the lone goal for the Cougars on a nice defection.

Thirds Hockey Loses End to End Match Against Black Bay Hockey
Cardigan Thirds hockey traveled to Wolfeboro, NH to play Black Bay Hockey. It was an end to end match up, where everyone worked hard.

Thirds Hockey Wins Close Game
Cardigan’s Thirds hockey won a tight contest against Hanover Bantam 2 at Thompson Arena 1-0. Landon Beattie ‘22 scored a beautiful goal, coming from behind the opponent's net and placing it under the bar, for the winner.

Thirds Hockey Beats Manchester Pee Wee Monarchs
The Thirds Hockey team won a high scoring game against Manchester Pee Wee Monarchs 8-4. Cam Eckelman ‘19 played a great game in goal, allowing the Cougars to get the win against a talented Monarch squad.

Thirds Hockey Wins First Game of Season
The 3rds Hockey Team won their first game of the year against Hanover Bantam 2, 7-0. Due to an outstanding defensive stand, goalie Justin Lee ‘20 was not tested in net for the Cougars, while Cam Eckelman ‘19 played well in goal for Hanover and faced 30+ shots from the Cougars.

Thirds Hockey Unable to Defeat Hanover in Final Game of Season
Thirds Hockey lost their last game of the season versus Hanover Pee Wee 4-2. Justin Lee played an outstanding game in goal for CMS. Will Brugiere played well at center for two lines and scored the first goal. Lucas Boyd had another tally late in the game.

Thirds Team Comes up Short
The thirds hockey team lost to the Upper Valley Storm Bantams 5-2. Cameron Eckelman played well in goal, but did not get much defensive support from his forwards in the loss. Aidan White and Joe Roberts each scored a goal for the Cougars. The team hopes to rebound in their last couple of games of the season.

White and DeMars Lead Cougars with a Hat-trick Each
Aidan White and Ellis DeMars each had hat tricks in an 8-3 victory over Hanover. Justin Lee played well in the net for the Cougars, while Cole Beck and Connor Pollard rounded out the scoring for CMS. Gavin Lui, Gabe Brondel, and Mike Lee helped grind out the win with their strong work ethic and positive team play all night.

Third Hockey Drop Challenging Game to Dover
The Thirds hockey team lost a challenging game Friday night versus the Dover Bantam Team 8-2. After being down just 2-1 after the first period and 4-1 after two, the Thirds team let another game slide away in the third frame. Many penalties were taken by the Cougars which allowed Dover to have a man advantage for much of the contest.

Thirds Hockey Look to Rematch Against Hanover Bantams
Thirds Hockey lost a tough game to the Hanover Bantams 5-3. The Cougars could not tie the game even with a two-man advantage in the closing minutes of the third period. This was the team's first lost to Hanover this season. Fortunately, the two teams play again after the long weekend.

Cougars Fall to Stanstead
The Thirds hockey team played an uninspired game versus Stanstead Friday afternoon and were defeated after having a 2-1 lead going into the third period. Aidan White and Ben King scored for the Cougars in the 4-2 loss. Cam Eckelman played a very solid game in net.

Goals from Six Cougars Leads to 6-1 Win Over Hanover
The Thirds Hockey team played a solid game versus Hanover bantams and won 6-1. Justin Lee played well in goal, and six different players tallied goals. Jack Costello scored the lone goal in the first; Ellis DeMars, Gabe Brondel, and Aidan White scored in the second; and Lucas Boyd and Peter Gilbert got their first goals of the season in the third frame.

Cougars Outmatched by Hanover High School
The Thirds hockey team had a tough matchup with the Junior Varsity of Hanover High School and lost 10-0. This was the first time the Thirds team played a JV squad in recent history. Many boys tried hard, but the bigger faster high school players dominated the game. The team looks forward to redemption facing off against the Hanover Bantam 2 team this Wednesday.

Cougars Defeat Rival Eagles in Comeback Game
Thirds Hockey pulled off a great victory against Eaglebrook’s JV team on Friday. Justin Lee played outstanding in net. The Cougars got big help from Joe Roberts scoring two goals, one in the first period and one in the third. Both teams put forth a strong effort for the entire game, but the Cougars were hungry and never gave up, coming from behind twice, defeating Eaglebrook 5-3.

Thirds Hockey Blank Kearsarge 5-0
Cam Eckleman had a shutout in a 5-0 win versus the Kearsarge Bantams on Wednesday night. Aidan White kept his scoring streak going with Cardigan's first goal in the opening period. The Cougars broke the game open in the second frame with three goals from Joe Roberts, Finn Schmidt, and Will Bruguiere. Ellis DeMars got one in the third period to seal the win against Kearsarge.

Cougars Play Tight Game Against Stars
The Thirds and Reserve hockey teams combined forces to play an exciting game versus the Boston Stars Pee Wee Team and won 5-4. After being down by two goals twice at 2-0 and 3-1, the Cougars fought back late in the third period to take a 4-3 lead with under three minutes to play when Jack Armstrong scored on a nice wrist shot from the point. Thirds Hockey Earn One-Sided Victory
The Thirds hockey team beat the Boston Stars 10-2. Many players scored in this one-sided victory. Justin Lee played in goal for Cardigan. Henry Sterrett and Jack Armstrong played well on the blue line, too. The Cougars are excited to get back in action this Wednesday evening in a game against the Kearsarge Bantam team.
